  • 2 cups Fresh Cranberries Frozen can be used if necessary.
  • 1 medium Jalapeño Pepper Remove seeds for milder heat.
  • 0.5 medium Red Onion Green onion can be used as substitute.
  • 1 bunch Fresh Cilantro Fresh parsley is an alternative.
  • 0.25 cups Sugar Honey or maple syrup can also be used.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice Lemon juice is a good substitute.

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse 2 cups of fresh cranberries, removing any shriveled ones. Finely chop half a red onion and one jalapeño, discard seeds. Chop fresh cilantro.
  2. In a food processor, combine cranberries, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, ¼ cup sugar, and juice of 1 lime. Pulse until finely chopped for a chunky consistency.
  3. Taste the salsa and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding sugar or lime juice if desired.
  4. Transfer to a container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  5. Stir gently before serving with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled meats.
