  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard Can substitute yellow mustard.
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar Regular vinegar works in a pinch.
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt Preferred for its coarseness.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.
For the Garnish
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika Dust over the eggs for color.
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds Optional, adds crunch.
  • 2 tbsp chives Can substitute with green onions.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crack the cooled hard-boiled eggs and soak in a water and black food coloring gel solution for at least 3 hours or overnight for spiderweb effect.
  2. Rinse the soaked eggs under cool water with a splash of white vinegar, and dry before peeling.
  3. Slice the peeled eggs in half, scoop yolks into a mixing bowl, mash, and mix with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  4. Optional: Add food coloring to yolk mixture for extra color.
  5. Fill the egg whites with yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. Garnish with smoked paprika, black sesame seeds, and chives. Chill before serving.
