Ingredients
  

For the Sangria
  • 1 bottle fruity red wine
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup unfiltered apple cider
  • 0.5 cup brandy (optional) omit for a lighter beverage
For the Fruits
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries or raspberries
  • 1 cup orange slices or lemon slices
  • 1 cup apple slices Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended
  • 1 cup grapes (black or red) or pomegranate seeds
For Flavoring
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • to taste fresh mint leaves for garnish
For Serving
  • to taste club soda or lemon-lime soda (optional)
  • as needed ice cubes for serving

Method
 

Combine the Base Ingredients
  1. In a large pitcher, pour in 1 bottle of fruity red wine, 2 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice, and 1 cup of unfiltered apple cider. Stir thoroughly for about 30 seconds.
Add Some Kick
  1. If desired, mix in ½ cup of brandy, stirring for about 15 seconds.
Mix in the Fresh Fruits
  1. Fold in 1 cup of sliced strawberries, 1 orange sliced, 1 apple sliced, and 1 cup of either black or red grapes. Stir gently for about 20 seconds.
Infuse with Spices
  1. Add in 2 cinnamon sticks, stirring gently for about 10 seconds.
Chill for Flavor Development
  1. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
Serve Over Ice
  1. When ready to serve, fill each glass with ice cubes and pour the Halloween Sangria over the ice.
Add Fizz if Desired
  1. Top off each glass with a splash of club soda or lemon-lime soda.
Garnish with Fresh Mint
  1. Garnish each glass with a few fresh mint leaves.
