Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt ½ cup of salted butter along with ½ cup of creamy peanut butter until smooth. Stir in ½ cup of light brown sugar, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and two large eggs. Add a splash of vanilla extract, then fold in 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and kosher salt.
- Press the cookie dough into the lined baking dish and bake for 18 to 22 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, dollop the remaining ½ cup of peanut butter over the hot bars, and allow it to melt while cooling completely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of softened butter, 2 cups of powdered sugar, ½ cup of cocoa powder, and vanilla with a few tablespoons of warmed milk. Beat until smooth.
- Melt the marshmallows in a bowl until gooey. Quickly stretch and pull them over the frosted bars to create a spider web effect.
- Create decorative spiders with melted chocolate and Whoppers. Freeze to set.
- Place spiders on top of the frosted bars. Add candy eyes if desired. Store in a cool place or refrigerate.
