  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Parchment Paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt ½ cup of salted butter along with ½ cup of creamy peanut butter until smooth. Stir in ½ cup of light brown sugar, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and two large eggs. Add a splash of vanilla extract, then fold in 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and kosher salt.
  3. Press the cookie dough into the lined baking dish and bake for 18 to 22 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  4. Remove from the oven, dollop the remaining ½ cup of peanut butter over the hot bars, and allow it to melt while cooling completely.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of softened butter, 2 cups of powdered sugar, ½ cup of cocoa powder, and vanilla with a few tablespoons of warmed milk. Beat until smooth.
  6. Melt the marshmallows in a bowl until gooey. Quickly stretch and pull them over the frosted bars to create a spider web effect.
  7. Create decorative spiders with melted chocolate and Whoppers. Freeze to set.
  8. Place spiders on top of the frosted bars. Add candy eyes if desired. Store in a cool place or refrigerate.
