  • 1 tbsp Golden Caster Sugar brown sugar can substitute but may darken color
  • 1 tbsp Black Sesame Seeds regular sesame seeds are a fine replacement
  • 1 tbsp Black Food Coloring omit or use activated charcoal for a similar look

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan/gas mark 7) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil with 60ml of water. Gradually add plain flour, sea salt flakes, golden caster sugar, and black sesame seeds. Knead until smooth.
  3. Roll out the dough to a thickness similar to a £1 coin. Cut into skinny strips.
  4. Brush the strips with water, sprinkle with sea salt and black sesame seeds, and prick with a fork.
  5. Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool the crackers completely, then arrange cheese and toppings artistically on a serving board.
