Preparation Steps
  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pour the melted dark chocolate onto it, spreading evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Refrigerate the dark chocolate for 10-15 minutes to set.
  4. Melt the white chocolate following the same method and add peppermint extract before pouring it over the set dark chocolate.
  5. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the white chocolate while still warm.
  6. Chill the assembled bark in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to set completely.
  7. Once set, break the bark into irregular pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.
