Preparation Steps
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
 - Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pour the melted dark chocolate onto it, spreading evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness.
 - Refrigerate the dark chocolate for 10-15 minutes to set.
 - Melt the white chocolate following the same method and add peppermint extract before pouring it over the set dark chocolate.
 - Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the white chocolate while still warm.
 - Chill the assembled bark in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to set completely.
 - Once set, break the bark into irregular pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.

Store the bark at room temperature for up to 1 week, in the fridge for 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Quality chocolate yields the best results.
