For the Creamy Sauce

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese At room temperature for smooth mixing.
For Seasoning

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes until browned. Reserve 1 tablespoon of fat in skillet and remove beef.
  2. In the same skillet, add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Then add sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in trimmed green beans, minced garlic, and broth. Cook for 2-3 minutes until green beans are bright and tender.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream cheese, stirring until completely melted. Then mix in the sour cream until smooth.
  5. Return the browned beef to the skillet, and sprinkle in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Stir well to combine.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Broil on high for 1-2 minutes until bubbly and golden or cover and cook on low heat until cheese melts.
