Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 lb Ground Beef can use turkey or chicken for a lighter version
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese mix with mozzarella for extra gooeyness
  • 1/2 cup Diced Onions yellow or white onions work best
  • 1/4 cup Diced Pickles adjust quantity based on taste preference
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
For the Dough
  • 1 lb Refrigerated Pizza Dough or Crescent Roll Dough homemade dough can also be used
  • 1 large Egg (beaten) for brushing on top
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat, stir in diced onions, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Add garlic powder, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute and let mixture cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 4-5 inch squares or circles.
  4. Take a piece of dough, add the cooled beef mixture, top with cheese and pickles. Fold the dough over and press edges firmly to seal. Use a fork to seal.
  5. Place the pockets on the baking sheet, brush tops with the beaten egg, and bake for 12-15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Once baked, let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
