- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat, stir in diced onions, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Add garlic powder, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute and let mixture cool.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 4-5 inch squares or circles.
- Take a piece of dough, add the cooled beef mixture, top with cheese and pickles. Fold the dough over and press edges firmly to seal. Use a fork to seal.
- Place the pockets on the baking sheet, brush tops with the beaten egg, and bake for 12-15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Once baked, let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
