Step-by-Step Instructions for Mango Iced Tea
- Begin by boiling 1 cup of water in a small pot over medium heat. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add your black tea bags and steep them for 3 minutes. After the time is up, remove the tea bags and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey until it dissolves completely. Set the tea aside to cool to room temperature.
- While the tea cools, take your ripe mango and cut it into small pieces, discarding the pit and skin. Place the mango pieces in a blender with 0.5 cup of water and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. To create a silky mango nectar, strain this blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing down with a spatula to extract every drop.
- Once the tea has cooled, gather your serving glasses. Fill each glass with ice cubes to the top, then pour the cooled Mango Iced Tea until each glass is about two-thirds full. Slowly add the freshly made mango nectar on top of the tea, allowing the two layers to create a beautiful gradient effect.
- For an extra vibrant touch, garnish each glass with fresh mango slices or a sprig of mint. Serve immediately for a refreshingly cool experience, perfect for those warm summer days.
