Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a donut pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, ¾ cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together 1 large egg, ¾ cup of milk, ½ cup of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity halfway. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 6 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of corn syrup, and 2 tablespoons of milk. Mix until smooth.
  8. Divide the icing into two bowls and use food coloring to dye each portion.
  9. Dip cooled donuts in the white icing and place a candy melt in the center of each.
  10. Pipe red icing for veins and black icing for pupils. Let set for 30 minutes before serving.
