  • 1 medium Onion Diced
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers Diced, any color
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Can use soy sauce as gluten-free alternative
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella High moisture recommended
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing
Optional Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes For heat
  • 1 tsp Italian Herbs For added flavor

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper; cook for 7-8 minutes until browned.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and mix thoroughly.
  6. Add softened cream cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  8. Layer provolone cheese slices over the mixture and top with shredded mozzarella.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
