Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together ¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil, the juice and zest of one fresh lemon, 1 tablespoon of honey, salt, and pepper to taste. Continue whisking until emulsified, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. In a large salad bowl, add 6 cups of chopped romaine lettuce followed by ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, ¼ cup of thin-sliced red onion, and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes. Toss gently to mix.
  3. Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss the ingredients together for about 30 seconds.
