Step-by-Step Instructions for Lavender Iced Tea
  1. Start by sterilizing a 1-quart heatproof pitcher and a tea infuser.
  2. Place a teaspoon of dried culinary lavender in the tea infuser, followed by two teaspoons of black tea leaves.
  3. Heat 4 cups of filtered water to between 195°F and 205°F, then pour it over the tea-lavender blend.
  4. Cover the infuser and steep for 10 minutes.
  5. Gently remove the infuser and stir in honey or agave syrup until fully dissolved.
  6. Allow to cool to room temperature (about 20 minutes) and chill in the refrigerator for at least 75 minutes.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour over the chilled tea, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs.
