Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Kool-Aid Lollipops
  1. Ensure your workstation is clean and organized. Gather all ingredients and equipment, including molds. Grease the molds with non-stick spray or oil.
  2. In a saucepan, mix together granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in Kool-Aid powder until fully blended. Slowly add baking soda, expecting some bubbling as it reacts.
  4. Return saucepan to heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil, monitoring closely with a candy thermometer to reach 300°F (150°C) hard crack stage, around 10-15 minutes.
  5. Once ready, promptly pour the hot mixture into prepared molds, filling each to the top. Insert lollipop sticks into the centers.
  6. Allow the lollipops to cool at room temperature for 30-45 minutes until fully set and solid.
  7. Gently twist and pop the lollipops out of the molds once completely cooled.
