- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and position the rack in the lower-middle section.
- Roll out your homemade flaky pie crust and gently fit it into your pie dish. Prick the bottom with a fork and pre-bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Whisk together eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Chop the fresh pecans and spread them evenly over the pre-baked pie crust.
- Pour the custard mixture over the pecans, filling the crust until just shy of the rim.
- Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes until the filling is set with a slightly jiggly center.
- Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours before serving.
