Instructions for Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until aromatic.
- Add 1 pound of ground chicken to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, and 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar. Add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of julienned carrots and 1/4 cup of chopped green onions. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Separate the lettuce leaves for wraps and rinse them gently. Ensure they are intact.
- Spoon the chicken mixture into the lettuce leaves and top with sesame seeds and extra green onions. Serve warm.
