  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C), placing the rack in the middle.
  2. Generously butter an 8-9 inch baking dish or skillet to prevent sticking.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and frothy.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, whisking until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  5. Arrange the sliced strawberries in the bottom of the prepared dish.
  6. Pour the batter over the strawberries and bake for about 1 hour, until puffed and golden.
