Ingredients

For the Dip
  • 2 cups Cherry Tomatoes Substitute with grape or diced Roma tomatoes if desired.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh is preferred, but can be omitted for less intensity.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin is recommended for enhanced flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes Adjust to taste or replace with hot sauce.
  • 1/4 cup Hot Honey Regular honey mixed with a dash of hot sauce can be a substitute.
  • 8 ounces Burrata Cheese Can swap with fresh mozzarella or ricotta for a different texture.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Use oregano, thyme, or parsley as alternatives.

Equipment

  • Baking dish
  • Cast-Iron Skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather a baking dish or a cast-iron skillet to roast your ingredients.
  2. In your chosen baking dish, combine the cherry tomatoes and minced garlic. Drizzle them generously with olive oil and sprinkle with chili flakes. Toss until well-coated.
  3. Place the baking dish in the oven and roast for about 20 minutes until the tomatoes are blistered and softened.
  4. Carefully remove the dish from the oven. Create a small well in the center and place the burrata cheese there.
  5. Drizzle hot honey over the burrata, allowing it to flow over the warm tomatoes.
  6. Return the baking dish to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes to warm the burrata.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it sit, and garnish with fresh basil. Serve warm with crusty bread or crisp vegetables.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality extra virgin olive oil and avoid overcooking the burrata to keep a creamy center. Optionally, roast the tomatoes a day in advance for quick assembly.
