Preparation

  2. Combine fresh blackberries, cane sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Toss until well coated.
  3. Mix whole rolled oats, almond flour, brown sugar, crushed walnuts, cinnamon, and sea salt in another bowl, then work in firm coconut oil until crumbly.
  4. Layer the blackberry filling in the baking dish and top with the oat mixture, covering entirely.
  5. Bake for 25-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Cool for about 5 minutes before serving warm, ideally with ice cream or whipped cream.
