  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups hibiscus tea Brewed and cooled
  • 1 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup honey or maple syrup To sweeten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon For added flavor
For the Pears
  • 4 medium pears Peeled and cored

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, combine water, hibiscus tea, orange juice, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Add the peeled and cored pears to the pot and ensure they are submerged in the poaching liquid.
  3. Simmer the pears for about 30 minutes, or until they are tender.
  4. Once cooked, remove the pears from the pot and let them cool on a serving dish.
  5. Reduce the poaching liquid until slightly thickened, then drizzle over the pears before serving.
