Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by cutting raw chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, ensuring quick and even cooking.
  2. In your slow cooker, combine the diced chicken, chopped carrots, and diced potatoes.
  3. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, pour in the chicken broth, and sprinkle in rosemary and thyme.
  4. Set the slow cooker to high for 3–4 hours or low for 6–7 hours.
  5. Mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth and stir into the soup to thicken it.
  6. Warm the heavy cream in a small saucepan, then stir into the soup.
  7. Allow the soup to cook for an additional hour to deepen flavors.
  8. Ladle the soup into bowls, adding salt or pepper to taste, and serve with heart-shaped puff pastries if desired.
