- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until melted.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.
- Introduce the rice and toast for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
- Pour in the broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stir and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 18-20 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Remove from heat and let the rice rest covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the remaining butter and garnish with parsley before serving.
