- Start by ensuring your crab meat is fully cooked if using fresh. Gently flake it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a small saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Add 3–4 minced cloves of garlic to the melted butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked crab meat with the garlic butter, chopped fresh herbs, fresh lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice a French baguette into thick slices, approximately 1 inch wide.
- Place the baguette slices in the preheated oven and toast them for about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and spoon the crab mixture onto each slice.
- If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the topped toasts.
- Return the topped toasts to the oven and bake them for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Once baked, remove the toasts from the oven and garnish with herbs or lemon wedges.
