- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a kettle of water to a boil for the water bath method.
- Generously grease four ramekins with butter and set aside on a baking sheet.
- Spoon two tablespoons of crème fraîche or heavy cream into each greased ramekin.
- Carefully crack one egg into each ramekin, ensuring the yolk stays intact.
- Sprinkle crumbled fresh goat cheese over the eggs, then add a tablespoon of finely chopped chives and parsley. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Place the filled ramekins in a baking dish and add hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 14-18 minutes until the whites are set and yolks remain slightly jiggly.
