Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 150 grams Self-Raising Flour Essential for structure and fluffiness; don’t swap with regular flour without adding baking powder.
  • 200 grams Greek Yogurt This binds ingredients and provides moisture; feel free to use any full-fat, plain yogurt as a substitute.
For the Filling
  • 100 grams Bacon Adds that irresistible crunchy, savory flavor; it's best when cooked until crispy!
  • 70 grams Grated Cheese Gives a rich, creamy texture; opt for any well-melting cheese for the best results.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • frying pan
  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  2. In a frying pan, cook 100 grams of diced bacon until it is crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine 150 grams of sifted self-raising flour and 200 grams of Greek yogurt. Mix until a soft, sticky dough forms, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll each into a ball. Place them on the baking sheet, ensuring they touch slightly.
  6. Distribute the crispy bacon evenly on top of each dough ball, followed by sprinkling on the grated cheese, pressing slightly into the dough.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed up and golden brown.
  8. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
