Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 13x18 inch sheet pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of cake flour, 1 cup of malted milk powder, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, ½ cup of cocoa powder, and 1 teaspoon of kosher salt.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine 1 cup of room temperature unsalted butter with 2 cups of sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and 1 cup of buttermilk. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing on low until just combined.
  5. Pour the cake batter into the prepared sheet pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
