  • 1 loaf Baguette or ciabatta or gluten-free bread
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil use high-quality extra virgin
For the Toppings
  • 8 ounces Goat Cheese or cream cheese or ricotta
  • 1 jar Fig Jam homemade or any fruit preserve
  • 4 pieces Fresh Figs sliced; optional garnish
Optional Garnishes
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme or basil or mint
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts walnuts or pistachios

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into ½-inch thick pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. Toast the baguette slices for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway for even toasting.
  4. Spread softened goat cheese over each toasted slice generously.
  5. Dollop a generous amount of fig jam on top of the goat cheese.
  6. Garnish with sliced fresh figs and thyme leaves.
  7. Serve immediately on a platter.
