- Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef, diced yellow onion, chopped green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for about 7–10 minutes until the beef is browned.
- Transfer to slow cooker: Once the beef mixture is cooked, drain any excess fat and transfer it to a large slow cooker.
