  • 4 pieces Boneless Chicken Thighs Substitute with chicken breasts if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Can substitute with white pepper.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used for stronger flavor.
For the Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup is a vegan substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Can substitute with other oils.
For Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional but adds crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley or Chives Dehydrated herbs can be used.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Combine hoisin sauce, honey, and sesame oil in a bowl to make marinade.
  3. Coat chicken with marinade and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  4. Preheat broiler to high and line a baking sheet with parchment paper coated with sesame oil.
  5. Broil chicken thighs for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 170°F.
  6. Brush reserved marinade on chicken before serving, garnish, and enjoy!
