  3. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and condensed milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until bubbling, then reduce heat and stir for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Drizzle the warm caramel over the apple slices, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle chosen toppings over the warm caramel-coated apple slices.
  7. Allow to cool for approximately 30 minutes before slicing into squares or bars.
