  • 8 ounces Egg Noodles can substitute with penne or rotini
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup or cream of mushroom or celery
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese or mix with mozzarella or Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder optional
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • to taste Salt
  • optional Cooked Bacon for added flavor
  • 1 bunch Chopped Green Onions optional for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the Noodles: Boil a large pot of salted water, add egg noodles and cook until al dente (6-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Sauce: In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Fold in shredded chicken, then add drained noodles. Mix gently and stir in half of the cheddar cheese.
  4. Assemble the Casserole: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish, pour in the mixture, top with remaining cheese and optional bacon.
  5. Bake Until Golden: Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes, garnish with green onions, and serve.
