Method
 

Preparation Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan) or gas mark 7.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface, sprinkle with parmesan, and roll it out to 2mm thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into 1cm-wide strips and twist each strip into snake shapes.
  4. Place the twisted snakes on the baking sheet and apply a thin layer of beaten egg.
  5. Scatter seeds over the snakes and press in peppercorns for eyes.
  6. Bake the pastry snakes for 12-14 minutes until golden-brown and crispy.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving with a dipping sauce.
