  • 2 cups Apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter For sautéing apples
For the Bombs
  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuit Dough
  • 12 pieces Caramel Candy
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter For brushing
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon Sugar Optional for sprinkling

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet, add chopped apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Flatten each biscuit on a clean surface to about a 4-inch circle.
  4. Place a generous amount of the apple mixture in the center of each biscuit and add a piece of caramel candy.
  5. Pinch the edges tightly to seal and roll each biscuit into a ball, seam-side down in the greased dish.
  6. Brush the tops of each bomb with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm.
