Baking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the medium baking apples, leaving about ½ inch intact.
- In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, packed brown sugar, melted unsalted butter, ground cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and bourbon. Stir until well blended.
- Gently pack the filling into each hollowed apple so it overflows slightly.
- Place the filled apples in a baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until tender.
- Let the apples cool slightly on a wire rack for about 5 minutes before serving.
